Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself.

As my resume indicates, after completing the UBC Certificate in Multimedia and Design Program I began working with Chalk Media. Initially brought on as a segment producer, I am now head writer for the web-based technology show ConnectedLife on msn.ca.

I am proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, Pro Tools, and Final Cut Pro and basic programming in XHTML. I also have extensive experience in the field of telecommunications. My positions in sales, training, and customer escalation management have allowed me to both showcase and fine-tune my communication skills.

However, in addition to a passion for writing and telecommunications, I also have a passion for radio and comedy. I am a touring Yuk Yuk’s stand-up comic and have performed on stages across Canada, the US, and the UK. Years of performing in front of tired, thirsty, (often) angry rural bar patrons as well as sophisticated, jaded, (often) bored urban teenagers has trained me to think creatively, and adapt quickly to even the most stressful situations.

In addition to performing live comedy in Vancouver two nights a week, I am the creator and programmer, and occasional on-air personality for the Lafftracks comedy program on UBC’s citr radio, which airs every Thursday night.

When you hire me you will get an experienced problem solver who is able to work in multiple situations with professionalism and competence. I work well with everyone, but I can also work happily on my own. I have initiative, a great sense of humour, and I always ensure that the job gets done right.
